INDUCED MEDITATION

There are several ways to facilitate or induce meditation. Oil pouring or shirodhara is probably the most well documented method, with proven results. We have developed an innovative oil and water pouring device to relax the mind at a low cost.

Shirodhara or oil pouring is a five thousand year old technique used to calm the nervous system and induce meditation. ‘Shiro’ means head and ‘Dhara’ means pouring. Shirodhara is a technique that brings you in a state of meditation. We call it Induced Meditation. It’s an art that follows strict rules. Several parameters must be respected to achieve the best results. The choice of fluid (oil, milk or water), medicated or not, is adapted to the condition of the patient. The most commonly used fluid is sesame oil, hence the name ‘oil pouring’. The most common medication added tot he fluid is the extract of the calming plant Brami. At times buttermilk is used instead of oil. The temperature of the fluid must be constant, preferably at 40° Celsius. The flow is determined by the pressure of the fluid and the opening through which it flows. The distance to the forehead, the speed of the swinging movement and the position on the forehead are regulated in order to reach a meditative state. After twenty minutes of professional oil pouring one can reach an induced deep meditative state without any effort whatsoever. The benefits are those of meditation combined with the benefits of the fluid that calms the nervous system. There is a full study available on the neuroscience of shirodhara showing the presumed pathways in the human brain.

THE NEW WAY TO RELAX AND MEDITATE

With the mind at rest, the brain can coordinate the activity of the body in accordance with the intelligence of nature, thus initiating our self-healing mechanisms. With our mind at rest we come closer to our core and are able to align our actions with our beliefs. This is the major requirement for health and wealth, as only the best version of ourselves will reach greatness.

In order to reach a deep meditative state, the pouring of fluid needs to be with a regular movement over the forehead, at a constant in flow, and with a steady preset temperature, for a prolonged period of time, usually from 20 minutes till 40 minutes. It is virtually not possible to reach this constance manually.

Together with highly qualified engineers we developped complicated algorithms to control the heating process of the fluids, their constant flow and the regular movement of the fluids on the forehead. This innovation is enshuring a superior relaxing experience with all kind of fluids. With these settings, water has proven to induce meditation as good as oil, thus avoiding undesired interference with the hairstyle. Enhanced water pouring, whereby medicated scents and essential oils are added to the water, create a healing and relaxing sensation.

Our newly designed and patented Induced Meditation device is fully automatic, thus overcoming the major obstacle of manual Shirodhara, which is finding well trained Ayurvedic therapists that can control all the parameters and provide an environement of constant movement, flow and temperature for a prolonged duration. These therapists, performing treatments prescribed by Ayurvedic doctors, are rare artists and hard to find. Moreover, with this new device and its constant flow we can reach a high degree of relaxation without dealing with the hassle of the oil.

Years of research and experience have tought us to stabilise the temperature of the fluids used, to regulate the ideal flow and determine the exact parameters of the swinging nozzle. This harmonious and constant flow on the forehead acts as trigger for mental relaxation. The chatter in our mind is silenced and the brain, our Master Healer, can start its real job which is restoring the harmony in the body.

The guidance to find a better job, a fulfilling relationship, the business solution we are searching for or the choice for relocation might all be found in a zone that is not accessible to the conscious mind.

Compare the “body, soul and mind unit” to a mechanical device where all parts must be aligned for it to run smoothly. Induced Meditation might well be the next best thing in medicine. However, its role in self-development is a real breakthrough. By reaching the uncluttered subconscious we come closer to our core to find the answers for most of the issues that are not yet aligned in our life. The guidance to find a better job, a fulfilling relationship, the business solution we are searching for or the choice for relocation might all be found in a zone that is not accessible to the conscious mind. Reading books, watching videos or even attending seminars are all activities that barely influence the subconscious areas of our brain. To enter that realm of change we must penetrate our deepest core through the holy gate of meditation.
